About Us
Founded in 2012, by Shaveran Naicker Top North Sport & Spinal Physiotherapy was created with the vision to offer exceptional care and physio services to the Kaitaia region.
The clinic has developed rapidly, with a constant demand from the local community, driving improvements and expansion to support its patients.
The clinic now has capacity for 4 experienced physiotherapists, as well as vocational rehabilitation and pain management specialists.
Refurbished in 2017, the clinic now has five large treatments rooms, and a fully equipped on site gym as well as welcoming reception with waiting area.
Whilst providing exceptional physiotherapy treatments the clinic now has plans to further develop its team of professionals, and expand it's range of treatment, care and support services.

Top Norths Lead - Shaveran
Shaveran has always been focused on providing superior patient treatment. Coupled with experience in high pressure clinics as well as a love for rural communities Top North was a natural evolution.
Graduating from AUT in 2004, Shaveran then went on to study his Masters in Health Practice whilst gaining experience in a full time physiotherapy role.
He completed this with Hons as well as a Pg Cert in Acupuncture.
In 2005 he came to the Far North for the first time and worked as part of the Kaitaia Physio clinic team.
Looking for another challenge, a growing clinic in Tauranga kept Shaveran busy for the next 5 years, until an fantastic opportunity to work in Australia was offered.
Excited to work with different community groups, Shaveran and his wife moved to Bundeburg, rural Queensland. This was a great experience, to truly understand rural and regional community care - both the stresses and pressure involved, but also the support and lasting friendships developed.
When his wife Bryony became pregnant in 2012, his dreams of building his own clinic were fast tracked - it was time to lay down their roots, supporting a community in a place they could call home.
They returned to the winterless north and Kaitaia.
Shaveran had planned to work in his clinic as a sole practitioner for the first 2 years, but after just 5 weeks of opening he was in need of another physiotherapist!
Since then the clinic has continued to develop and grow, with aspirations to continue the expansion to include a wider team of physiotherapists and a broader range of health care services.
